Abstract
A clipping of a printed 'advertisement' describing the outcomes of a meeting held by the Royal Society of Van Diemen's Land in 1855. This meeting was convened to appoint a committee which would be responsible for collecting and entering exhibits to the Universal Exhibition of Industry at Paris. Members of the committee included individuals such as GF Story, John Abbott, Joseph Allport, ESP Bedford, WS Button (mayor of Launceston), William Carter (Mayor of Hobart Town), and Joseph Milligan.
