Abstract
I have been asked to review the ‘plan de travail’ for monitoring freshwater fauna by Koniambo-Nickel.
The plan is highly satisfactory, addresses the requirements of the client, and will provide valuable and relevant data and information.
The two main modes of monitoring that are proposed - benthic macroinvertebrate communities and metal concentrations in shrimp (crevettes) - are highly relevant to the nature of the development, the region and the ability to detect and interpret causes of change. The analyses proposed are all also suitable and ‘au courant’ with international practice
