Abstract
Photograph of the Lunawanna, a 25 tons ketch, built by Purdon &
Featherstone in 1911 for J Sward of Kettering. The Lunawanna
was a beautiful little ship, and won many regatta races,
before being acquired in 1927 for use in the South Sea
Islands trade. The photographer was Henry Baily, son of Henry Hall Baily a Tasmanian portrait and landscape photographer who operated a photographic studio from Elizabeth and Liverpool Street, Hobart between 1865-1918. After Baily seniors death in 1910, the studio was managed by his son, also called Henry, until 1918. From Photograph Collection Pr.Shp. 8
