Abstract

This thesis will be concerned with a comparison of
Sophocles' Oedipus Rex,Hartmann's Gregorius and Thomas
Mann's Der Erwahlte,and with surveying the ethical and
metaphysical views of each author with particular respect
to the incest motif.
