The following quote from Hadjinicoloau epitomises the concepts with which I have been working for the past two years. The dominant ideology, while it ensures that people keep their place in the social structure, at the same time aims at the preservation and cohesion of this structure, principally through class exploitation and dominance...It follows that if the function of ideology in general is to conceal contradictions, then the ideology of the ruling classes, is a fortitiori, the same. If the function of ideology is to conceal contradictions, my aim is to reveal these contradictions.
