Abstract
The objective of this study was to develop a proof of concept for using low cost, off the shelfRGB-D computer vision techniques to assess grading and defect features in low grade plantation hardwood. It is framed within a wider research project that proposes the integration this data within a Cyber Physical System allowing real time design and material feedback within a computational design and fabrication workflow.
