Abstract

An autonomous writing machine has been constructed using open-source software and hardware, recycled and 3D printed components. A recurrent neural network has been trained with the handwriting of one of the authors using the method of (Graves, 2014). Novelty in the writing is g through Markov Chains applied to the original text to generate sentences. The machine employs tractor fed paper to enable unsupervised writing for an extended period of time.
