Abstract
This two part series examines diverse gender, sex andsexuality (DGSS) in the context of health informationmanagement. Part 1 discusses the need for and creationof data definitions and reporting requirements forDGSS, and describes the new International StatisticalClassification of Diseases and Related Health Problems,11th Revision (ICD-11) sexual health chapter. Thesenew data definitions and reporting requirementscan be used in a variety of settings and allow for theclassification and effective collection of gender identityand related sexual health material, most importantlywithout stigmatisation. Part 2 considers managing safeand inclusive workplaces.
