Abstract

This paper compares and contrasts the experiences of two parents who have chosen tohomeschool their children in mathematics despite having difficulties with mathematics atschool themselves. It describes the strategies these two parents used to overcome their lackof content knowledge and/or mathematics anxiety and are illustrative examples of howthese deficits can be overcome with sufficient motivation.
