Abstract
Since the preceding essay was written two years ago, UMNO and BNwere defeated in the 14th General Election (GE14). Consistent with whatI have described earlier, the Chinese community abandoned UMNO/BNcompletely in the 9 May polls. The Chinese voted for the DAP and otherparties from the opposition Pakatan Harapan (PH) alliance, allowing itto win all of the Chinese-majority constituencies.
