Abstract
Suppose that you are given two worldviews, one championed by a theist and one championedby an atheist. What method or methods should be used in attempts to assess the comparativemerits of these worldviews? What kinds of considerations should feed into these methods? This chapter begins with a discussion of themes central to answering these two questions, including specifying two worldviews to allow for meaningful comparison. Then a series oftopics (see the headings below) will be addressed for the benefit of a person, identified as the‘undecided person’, who does not yet endorse either worldview, in order to establish if thereare reasons to prefer the atheistic worldview presented here.
