Abstract
The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a digital file format whichcompresses data without significantly degrading the quality of theimage, making it useful for producing short animated clips that areoften looped endlessly. These short animated GIFs have hadwidespread use within online discussion boards and social media.Within online communities these short animations or low-resolutionvideos in the GIF format are used for various acts of communicationand creative expression.
