Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (lCT) has provided many and varied options for making learning flexible and for providing different options for all learners to gain knowledge. A range of specialized knowledge management systems are available that integrate the learning, administrative, and financial elements of education delivery. In this chapter one such technology is reviewed to illustrate the generic capacities of such learning opportunities, and then the implications are discussed in terms of good education. The question remains: How can technology be incorporated effectively into learning situations?
