Abstract

Wildlife observations and interactions have always
been part of the human experience. As a field of scientific
investigation, however, wildlife ecology and
management has evolved relatively slowly until recent
decades.Traditional requirements for observation and
knowledge about species and populations have been
surpassed with obligations to solve complex problems
involving ecological, cultural and economic factors to
improve conservation outcomes, sustain productivity
and excel in wildlife stewardship.
