Abstract
James Backhouse Walker's Literary Diary November 1892- August 1898. Includes memories of Hobart from when he was ten, apparently by 1896 it was quite a tourist destination (26 January 1896). He writes about Mary getting a studio (22 February 1896), the Depression (1 May 1893), his insomnia (5 June 1893), the introduction of trams (4th August 1893), the death of his mother (4th August 1893).
