Abstract
Rev Robert Knopwood's journal of the proceedings on board the ship 'Resolution' from the first of January 1801 to the 30th of July 1802. The ship was under the command of the Honourable A.H. Gardner. Predominantly describes weather conditions, places of anchor, ships encountered. Includes a list of officers; description of places visited such as Brittany, Isles of Glenan, and Port Louis; names of the squadron for the West Indies; table of bearings and distances; and diagrams of an unnamed town, location of places near Governor Keppell's house, Crooked Island Passage, and points of a compass. This Log is kept from 1 A.M. to 12 P.M. each day. - RS 14/5
