Abstract
Miscellaneous papers mainly pertaining to the Botanical Gardens, Hobart, Tasmania, 1857-1904, 1928, 1950 including a report of Gardens Sub-Committee 1858, catalogues of plants 1857 and 1865, by-laws 1860, plan of site of gardens near Sandy Bay Rivulet and Garden Crescent [Fitzroy Crescent], correspondence 1872-6 including some letters relating to the sale of William Archer's collection of dried Tasmanian plants in London offered to the Tasmanian Government, further letters dated 1883, 1895-6, 1904 and 1928, the Botanical Gardens Bill 1950 and a photograph of the Superintendent's House ('1829' although it was actually built in 1845).
